Obama Regains Lost Ground in Texas Caucus Results; Clinton Set to Challenge

Though Hillary Clinton took Texas with the popular vote in the primaries, Barack Obama regained some lost ground by winning the state’s caucus, which accounts for one-third of the state’s delegates. But the win is bittersweet, with the Clinton campaign crying foul, saying it might mount a legal challenge to the state’s caucus results.

Texas Tech Coach Fined $10,000 for Bad Mouthing Officials

It’s one thing to fine professional athletes large amounts of money for rule violations, but this week the Big 12 Conference set a big precedent when they laid a $10,000 hit on Texas Tech coach Mike Leach for bad mouthing officials after the game. It set a new high for fines by the league and gave a distinct warning to anyone else who would think about criticizing the way things are run.

Texas: Anti-Gay Obscenities Scribbled on Dead Fraternity Pledge's Body

Numerous anti-gay sayings and obscene drawings were scribbled on the body of an 18-year-old fraternity pledge who died of alcohol poisoning at a party, according to a medical examiner's report. Phanta 'Jack' Phoummarath, a freshman at the University of Texas at Austin, died after ingesting large amounts of alcohol at a pledge party at Lambda Phi Epsilon house.
